Portfolio Tracker (“the app”) helps you keep track of your own investments: stocks, ETFs, crypto assets, precious metals, real estate and cash. This page explains what the app does with information. In short: your portfolio stays on your phone, we have no accounts, no advertising and no tracking.

What stays on your phone
Everything you enter is stored only on your device: your holdings, buy and sell transactions, monthly purchase plans, mortgages, rentals and costs of your properties, and your settings (language, currency, dark mode, the markets you follow). We do not receive a copy of it and we cannot see it. If you delete the app, this information is deleted with it.
The app does not use the cloud backup of your phone (such as Google backup), so your portfolio is not stored on the servers of your phone's maker. When you set up a new phone from the old one, the phone's own transfer function may move the app's data directly from one device to the other; this is done by your phone, not by us. To keep your own copy, use “Export data” in the app.
What we do not collect
- No account, no sign-in, no e-mail address and no phone number.
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics and no tracking of what you do in the app.
- No location, contacts, photos or other personal data of your device.
What the app downloads from the internet
To show prices, indices, exchange rates and bond yields, the app downloads market data from public data providers over the internet. When it does, the provider receives the technical information any internet request carries, such as your IP address, and the names or symbols of the assets that are requested (for example the ticker of a stock you hold, or the text you type when you search for an asset). A provider may also set cookies for its own service. Your amounts, buy prices and transactions are not sent. The providers have their own privacy policies, and the providers used may change over time.
For the automatic estimate of a property, the app downloads public statistics (house price and consumer price indices) from Eurostat and from the Bank for International Settlements. Such a request names only the country you chose. The name, address, area, price and date of your property are not sent.
Backups you make
The “Export data” function writes a backup file with your portfolios, holdings, transactions and recurring transactions to a place you choose. The file is not encrypted and shows what you own, so keep it somewhere safe. We never receive it. “Import data” reads a file you pick and only on your device.
Payments
The app is free and does not take payments itself. If a way to support the developer or to pay for optional features is added, the payment will be handled by the store (Google Play or the Apple App Store) or by a payment provider; we will not see or store your payment details. This page will be updated before such a change.
Children
The app is not meant for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect any information from them.
Your rights
Because we do not collect or store personal data about you, there is normally nothing for us to give you access to, correct or delete. If you contact us, we will use your message only to answer it. Under the law that applies to you, you may have rights regarding personal data, such as access, correction, erasure and the right to complain to a data protection authority.
Not investment advice
The app is a tool for your own record keeping. Prices and figures come from third parties, may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate, and are shown for information only. Nothing in the app is investment, tax or legal advice. Decisions you make are your own.
Changes
If the app starts to handle information in a new way, for example with an account or a server, we will update this page before the change and show the date of the update above.
